About Salem NH
Salem, NH, home of the Blue Devils, is part of New Hampshire's Rockingham County. In the most recent census, it was determined that Salem's population was 28,776. Salem is home of Canobie Lake Park, the Rockingham Mall, and America's Stonehenge. The Salem school district has five elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school.
Salem calls itself "the gateway to New Hampshire" with a town seal of "industry, commerce, recreation." Salem mixes a small town feel with city life with its rural and live able settings as well as all the shopping, recreation, and businesses the town has to offer. Salem has a large number of both chain restaurants, and family owned. Salem is the home of Tuscan Kitchen and Market, as well as Maddie's coffee and eatery.
Salem holds an annual "Salemfest." Similar to other towns Old Home Day, Salemfest is a community event held end of summer/early fall to bring to town together.
Salem has many area businesses and hotels. There is also a park and ride off of exit two for those carpooling into Boston during the weekday traffic, and for rides from the airport shuttle.
Salem is a short distance from both Boston and the seacoast with easy highway access to I-93, making it an ideal location for a work day commute, day at the beach, or a night out in the city.
